CU*Answers has started a new way to offer their collections services resulting in a growing client base. A $200 million credit union has agreed to hire CU*Answers to work their early stage delinquent accounts. “Clients don’t always need a permanent solution and not doing collections for a period of time is costly and unnecessary now,” noted Jerry Collins, collections manager at CU*Answers.
“This new approach can be turned on within 48 hours’ notice should any of a number of unexpected events happen to the credit union or the collector. This is also good support for a disaster recovery situation. Examiners can see that this area of concern is covered should a disaster strike the credit union,” continued Collins.
