Expertise in the Software Key to the Success of CU*Answers’ Sales Team

West-Michigan based cooperative CUSO, CU*Answers, recently announced the hiring of Nick Gowey as the newest member of its sales team, who will act as the new sales administrator. However, before taking on that role, Gowey was placed through an extensive training program with the Client Services and Education team to learn the core system CU*BASE® to the same level as a client service representative.

“This was a planned move when CU*Answers hired Nick Gowey,” said Laura Welch-Vilker, VP of Client Services and Education. “A new way to look at training and hiring for other teams, preparing them with the knowledge of our software, as well as gaining exposure to our client base and the marketplace. The experience that individuals gain while on the Client Services and Education Team is invaluable, and provides opportunities for potential growth within the organization, or in this case as a planned opportunity for growth.”

Gowey commented on his experience to date saying, “My time on the Client Services and Education team has given me the confidence in my knowledge of CU*Answers and its software to hit the ground running when I switch over to sales. I’m thankful to Laura and the team for the training I’ve received; it will really be an asset to me as I start my career with CU*Answers.”
