In the spirit of CUSO collaboration, eDOC Innovations and CU*Answers walked for charity in a five-week step challenge culminating in June. Together, staff members from both CUSOs walked more than ten million steps, or five thousand miles, and raised $785 for the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) in Vermont.

Tristan Kiel, software developer and activities committee chairman for eDOC Innovations, oversaw the event and said: “Our goal with this challenge was to promote a healthy, active lifestyle in the office and at home, and to raise money for charity. We could not have been happier with the challenge and the results we saw.”

In a closing ceremony and luncheon held on June 7th, staff from both organizations Skyped in for the winning results. This year the most inexhaustible stepper, with more than 700K steps, was Steve Davis from eDOC Innovations. Taking second and third place respectively were Keith Kramer and Ramon Cano, also from eDOC Innovations. Most Improved Stepper went to Tara Galvin, and Rookie of the Year to Bob Frizzle, both from CU*Answers.

“This was our best competition to date. The collaboration with CU*Answers this year added an extra layer of fun and comradery. I can’t wait for next year!” concluded Kiel.
