Xtend, Inc., the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based multi-owned cooperative CUSO, announced that two credit union partners have contracted its Xtension Call Center to provide support for members in an overflow capacity. South Bay Credit Union ($67M, 8,200 members) based in Redondo Beach, California, and Oak Trust Credit Union ($65M, 10,000 members) based in Naperville, Illinois have begun directing member calls to the CUSO.
“This is a major win for us,” says Julie Gessner, Manager of Communication Services for the CUSO. “Our call center team had the privilege of supporting both South Bay and Oak Trust during their recent data processing conversions to CU*BASE, and the fact that each decided to keep Xtension as part of their ongoing member service strategy tells us we did a bang-up job. Needless to say, the entire team is excited.”
Xtend President Scott Collins says, “I had the opportunity to brainstorm with both Jennifer (South Bay CU Jennifer Oliver) and Jim (Oak Trust CU CEO Jim Dean) during their respective data processing searches, and both were intrigued by the cooperative philosophy that permeates our shared resources network. By partnering with CU*Northwest (South Bay), CU*Answers (Oak Trust) and Xtend, these new partners not only became part of a network, they also joined a family of cooperatives helping cooperatives. And we are very excited that we have earned the right to help each of these credit unions serve their members and communities.”
The Xtension Call Center now supports more than three dozen credit union and CUSO partners nationally.
