Xtend, Inc., a multi-owned cooperative CUSO headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, has announced that it will host its 2009 Shared Branching Advisory Council on September 15th. The meeting is open to all credit unions who provide native transaction support for their credit union peers through the CU*BASE core data processing system from CU*Answers.
Key topics for the meeting will include new credit union-configured privacy functionality, discussion on best practices and policies, open dialogue regarding a more formalized structure for the consortium, and a review of development activities planned for the coming year. Says Xtend President Scott Collins, “We have seen the number of credit unions joining the peer-to-peer network grow steadily over the past year, and we felt the time was right to get everyone together for a strategic planning meeting. Since our shared branching brand is a self-managed, self-governed network of peers helping peers in a changing landscape, this annual event takes on added significance as new partners enter the network.”
Currently, the Xtend shared branching brand represents nearly 200 locations in 10 states.
