CUSO Expands Self Processing Support Services

CU*Answers, Inc., the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based cooperative co-operative CUSO, recently expanded its service offerings for credit unions that utilize its CU*BASE core data processing suite in an in-house deployment.  These services, which are part of the CUSO’s Ops Engine product and services suite, are focused on providing remote daily, weekly, monthly or on-demand operations as part of the credit union’s business continuity strategy.

According to Jeff Miller, Manager of Business Development for the CUSO’s Production Center team, the new a la carte services were designed to leverage automation tools installed in the client’s data center.  “During the past two years we have worked closely with many of our self-processing credit unions to implement automation toolkits designed to help them manage their operations more effectively,” said Miller.  “Since the toolkits were designed to support our own online Production Center, which provides operations for nearly two hundred credit unions every day, we knew it was just a matter of tweaking them to match our client’s data center environment.  By combining these automation tools and our remote support services, we believe that our customer-owners have deployed an extremely effective and resilient data processing environment.”

The new service offerings were announced at the CUSO’s recent “Self-Processor Summit” hosted by its partner CUSO Site Four in Yankton, South Dakota.
