CUSO Announces File Expansion Project

CU*Answers, Inc., a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based cooperative CUSO, announced recently that it has invested in a major file expansion project and improved new user interface for its CU*BASE® GOLD core data processing platform. The primary driver for this foundation change is to modernize the look of its core software and continue to keep pace with the evolution of Windows applications familiar to today’s users. This move will be a major contributor to the long term sustainability of the CUSO’s foundations for structure and storage of data, business logic and processing capabilities. Based on these new capabilities end-users will enjoy the benefits of additional presentation layers and comprehensive self-help content designed to help credit unions manage their centers effectively.

According to CUSO CEO Randy Karnes, “Our network’s history shows our standard operating procedure is to constantly evaluate and evolve for the long term normal release cycles. The file expansion and new improved GOLD user interface project all starts with the confidence from our staff, our partners and their members’- that we can evolve and innovate.” Karnes continues, “Projects like these prove to our team and all of our stakeholders that we are up to the challenge.”

The CUSO reports that beta projects with the file expansion and interface enhancements are already in their project queue. These projects set the foundations for expanded files for larger balances and transaction amounts; renovate programs to improve speed; and to make better use of available screen space.
