The implementation of the recent 17.05 CU*BASE ® release to online clients on May 19 provided CU*Answers credit unions with a wealth of software enhancements and new features. Among these new features is an enhancement to the CU*BASE ANR program, adding the ability to require a certain number or certain amount of ACH deposits in order for members to receive and retain program benefits.
This enhancement, which originated from an Idea Form submitted by a partner credit union, offers credit unions utilizing an automated non-return program more opportunities to tailor the program to their individual requirements.
Additionally, activation and deactivation routines were adjusted to use a daily configuration, as opposed to monthly. As CU*Answers Technical Writer Stacy Brower explains, “the change in configuration from monthly cycles to daily cycles will allow credit unions to achieve more flexibility in their Courtesy Pay program by monitoring member accounts daily to apply new ANR settings. The best part is that credit unions who wish to use longer cycles between account changes will still be able to continue using their program on a monthly basis. The possibilities are very much open for the credit union to explore.”
