cuasterisk.com Network Holds Planning Session in Lake Tahoe

CU*Answers, a 100% credit union-owned CUSO, along with other group providers within the cuasterisk.com network joined in Lake Tahoe for a three-day planning session. Over the course of the visit leaders from CU*Answers, CU*NorthWest, CU*SOUTH, eDOC Innovations, Xtend, and Site-Four covered topics of collaboration and the direction of the network in the next few years.

The attendees all had a productive week, and left the meetings with a new agenda and game plan for the future of the network. “CUSOs fill an important space in the credit union industry,” said Randy Karnes, CU*Answers CEO. “Like the credit unions we serve, we have an opportunity to give back to our member-owners. I believe CUSOs will be increasingly important to credit unions looking to partner with others to provide the economies of scale needed to thrive in today’s business environment.”

The week also included a retirement celebration for CU*Answers CIO Jody Karnes, who will be retiring at the end of September. “Not only did technical peers come to count on Jody,” said Randy, “but so did the credit unions and cooperative leaders she’s been connected to over the twenty-three years she served at CU*Answers. My hat is off to someone who set the bar for leadership and responding to responsibility when called upon.”
