With in-house clients in Texas, Wisconsin and South Dakota, Tahquamenon Area Credit Union signs on as CU*Answers first in the State of Michigan.

Kentwood, MI – CU*Answers currently provides data processing services to 70 Michigan credit unions from their headquarters location in Kentwood, MI. Although CU*Answers has in-house clients in several other states, Tahquamenon Area Credit Union has contracted to become their first Michigan-based in-house client upon their conversion scheduled for April of 2005.

Tahquamenon Area Credit Union (TACU) is based in Newberry, Michigan, and operates several branches throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, supporting nearly 11,000 members and managing over $58 million in assets. TACU performed due diligence on CU*Answers over the past 15 months, talking with many peer credit unions in the process.

Says Terry Fisher, CEO of TACU, “After the first CU*BASE demonstration my team left the meeting very impressed. They had everything we needed; even the additional services that were on our “wish list” were all a part of the base package and not add-on modules with additional fees.”
