CU*Answers to Update IP Software

The CU*Answers CUSO that provides data processing, check processing, and other services to credit unions, has recently announced to its clients that it is preparing for a conversion to a new item processing platform.  Scheduled for Monday, Septembers 27th, this update will reportedly provide increased efficiency as well as other features.

According to CU*Answers, benefits of the upgrade will be noticed primarily with the CheckViewer application used by branch staff  to view and search for check images, and members accessing check images via It’s Me 247 online banking, which will be more user-friendly due to aesthetic changes.  Daily processing will see minor affects, with the length of tracer numbers reducing to 7 from 10.  2 new reports are being offered to credit unions, as the IP department will no longer print a daily Return Item Maintenance Report, said the CUSO.
