CU*Answers, the West Michigan-based CUSO, announced that it will be performing a High Availability rollover test beginning the night of November 7. They stated that despite having an excellent history of product up-time, these semi-annual rollover tests are an important part of the CU*Answers Business Continuity Plan. The CUSO added that these tests are done in addition to an annual disaster recovery test.
The CUSO stated that during the tests, production services are rolled over to the CUSO’s high availability data center, tests are performed, and then services are rolled back after a few days. As part of the strategy to ensure connectivity in the event of a disaster, the CUSO has set up a data center in a different city. CU*Answers added that they publish the results of all tests online, so that their clients can quickly verify and print the reports for their board reports.
