CU*Answers Records Retention Strategy Approved by Board of Directors

Phase 1 of CU*Answers’ Records and Information (RIM) strategy plan has been completed. The CU*Answers Board of Directors approved new departmental Record Retention Schedules (RRS) at their regular board meeting on October 27, 2016.

Phase 1 implemented a seven-step process for identifying core 5% (vital) records by team. Phase 1 resulted in each team having a records retention and disposition schedule. As a bonus, many teams are now utilizing CU*Answers Imaging Solutions tools for information storage in the CU*Answers Corporate Vault. “We can now ‘walk in the client’s shoes’ and have efficient disposal of information when no longer required for business or by law,” said Marilyn Boyd, internal auditor.
