The CU*Answers Internet Retailer Support Center (IRSC), a new support desk for credit union virtual channel project managers, launched its first four Membership Application Process (MAP) sites this week for Honor Credit Union, Frankenmuth Credit Union, Pathways Financial Credit Union, and Element Federal Credit Union. The new membership application replaces the previous option, and is integrated with the cooperative CUSO’s core processing platform CU*BASE® streamlining the membership application process and reducing re-keying. MAP improves on the previous option by adding a new, modern look, an easier-to-use interface, responsive design for mobile use, and new customization including credit union branding, promotion options, and more.
“Honor was excited to partner with the CU*Answers’ Internet Retailing Support Center to launch our new, and fully customizable, Membership Application Process,” said Deb Slavens, Honor Credit Union eSolutions Manager. “MAP is a significant leap and has laid solid ground work for our transition to [a membership opening process]. We are looking forward to leveraging these new tools to assist us in growing our membership base across the State of Michigan.”
Throughout 2016 IRSC will work with all CU*Answers network credit unions in transitioning from the existing membership application to their new MAP site. With that, credit unions will have laid the groundwork for the new CU*Answers Membership Opening Process (MOP) currently in development, which will give prospective members the ability to open a credit union account without ever visiting a physical branch.
