CU*Answers Holding Data Investment Symposium

CU*Answers is holding its second annual Data Investment Symposium this week on April 27, 2016 at its Grand Rapids corporate headquarters. The Data Investment Symposium is a focus group event to brainstorm on investments the CUSO should be making with its comprehensive set of data analytics and dashboards already incorporated within the enterprise CU*BASE® processing system.

Per the cooperative CUSO, the unique symposium is primarily targeted for credit union leaders focused on developing new analytical approaches for credit union data. Although a primary focus will be on CU*BASE, other credit union leaders with similar interests are also invited to attend. The day will be divided into two sections:

The morning will focus on driving development with a data focus. Leaders will discuss building solutions for credit unions pushing data to external warehouses; building solutions for credit unions pulling data towards CU*BASE and other CU*Answers data warehouses; and building stronger data trending in our network (understanding the heavy lifting required for an ongoing trend line).

The afternoon will center on building a network of credit union and CUSO leaders with a data focus. A quick look at the 2016 Data Bootcamp project will be taken and participants will have a chance to decide whether they would like to participate in the future. The group will also look at the Executive Study series and what is next for data; and brainstorm on building a data analyst bench, in the credit union and as a shared resource in the CUSO network.
