At his annual Leadership Conference at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Grand Rapids, CU*Answers CEO Randy Karnes invited winners of a Converse gift card drawing to participate in the Custom Converse Contest. In the spirit of what makes CU*Answers tick, creativity and innovation, Karnes announced that he is going to award a $1,000 prize to the individual who designs the coolest Converse shoes using their $75 Converse gift card. This contest was just one of the many ways in which CU*Answers promoted this year’s Leadership Conference theme of “Walking in the Member’s Shoes,” a theme Karnes and other CU*Answers leadership staff chose in order to help credit union clients see the world from their members’ perspective so that they are better able to serve them.
