CU*Answers, the West Michigan-based core data processor, announced that it is working on its Accounting Top Ten Projects for the 2012-2013 development year, initiated through a focus group with the CUSO’s top ten credit unions by asset size. Projects were nominated by the credit unions involved, and range from Automated Reports and Queries to Accounts Payable Payments via ACH.

“This is another way in which we differ from a traditional vendor-client relationship,” said Scott Page, EVP of CU*Answers. “Our credit union owners actually drive the strategic direction of the software. Not a single credit union will see an upcharge to their invoice for these changes; it’s credit unions collaborating together to push the industry forward, rather than each credit union working on their own.”

Page added that the CUSO also holds Top Ten events for lending initiatives, and is excited to continue the relatively new focus groups in future years.
