West Michigan-based cooperative CUSO, CU*Answers, sends out its congratulations to clients Frankenmuth Credit Union, Safe Harbor Credit Union, Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union, and Washtenaw Federal Credit Union who were recently honored at the 2017 MCUL Awards Breakfast held during the Michigan Credit Union League’s Annual Convention and Exposition. The four credit unions are on the CU*BASE® platform.

Frankenmuth was awarded the MCUL’s Innovation Award ($400M+), Safe Harbor the winner of Outstanding CU of the Year (small asset), and Alpena Alcona Area as the MCUF award winner for Excellence in Consumer Education. Washtenaw was also recognized for winning then national CUNA Dora Maxwell Award.

All four credit unions are owners of the 100% credit union-owned CUSO. CEOs Vickie Schmitzer of Frankenmuth and Don Mills of Alpena Alcona Area are currently on the CU*Answers Board of Directors. CU*Answers will hold its Annual Leadership Conference and Stockholders Meeting next Wednesday, June 22.
