CU*Answers Item Processing Team has completed a 5 month image conversion project and has imported 5 years of Check Images (3TB of data) into our Corporate Document Vault which utilizes 2020Doc, eDoc Innovation’s document management software.

The decision to complete thisproject in-house was an easy call for CU*Answers executives once it was determined that these critical check images would not have to be entrusted to an outside conversion source. Upon completion of the import, all data was tested for integrity and a final verification process accounted for all image files with no data loss to report.

The benefits associated with the completion of this project are significant. CU*Answers has securely destroyed 1100+ optical cartridges which stored the images prior to the conversion, an IBM iSeries and Optical Library required to retrieve check images has been eliminated, and Disaster Recovery has become much less complicated.
