To celebrate National Records and Information Month, recognized each April, cooperatively owned CUSO CU*Answers held a Records and Information Management (RIM) Awareness Week for its staff. The week of activities included games and events centered around the importance of information management best practices.
“Managing information effectively is central to our success as a credit union service organization,” said Marilyn Boyd, CRA, CU*Answers internal auditor. “Failure to manage information can result in reduced profitability and productivity.” The RIM Awareness Week theme “Tame Our Clutter” was an opportunity for employees to learn what to keep, what to destroy, and to know the difference between the two.
The CU*Answers Records and Information Management team has one mission: to assist credit unions in developing a records management program; one with accountability, where records are authentic and reliable, where private and essential information is protected against unauthorized access, that complies with applicable laws and credit union policies, and that ensures timely, efficient and accurate retrieval of the information you need to run your business.
