CU*Answers Announces Records and Information Management Strategy

CU*Answers CFO Bob Frizzle and the Internal Audit team have been tasked with upgrading the records and information management program at the cooperatively-owned CUSO. This project will leverage the tools the CUSO provides to its clients for document imaging and retention. The Records Management strategy was approved by the Executive Team on January 13, 2016.

Records management has emerged in importance due to the proliferation of email, digital images, social media, instant messaging and big data analytics. Software applications and hardware devices are creating an ever-increasing amount of information. A well-implemented records and information management program supports CU*Answers’ immediate and future regulatory, legal, risk-aversion, environmental, and operational requirements.
