CU*Answers and MidUSA Credit Union Deliver 3D Telepresence

CU*Answers, the West Michigan-based cooperative CUSO, is continuing its innovative spirit by implementing and integrating video technologies to achieve communication and relationship building through three dimensional telepresence. With new technological advancements and a partnership with Buffalo Pacific, CU*Answers brings the three dimensional telepresence experience to the credit union space.

cuanswers_deskOne of the first credit unions to jump on the technology has been $194-million MidUSA Credit Union, a 15,000 member institution based in Dayton, Ohio, who is using the tech in concert with CU*Answers to enhance their ongoing education curriculum. The two organizations began meeting regularly over six months ago to discuss topics depending on business needs. To accomplish this, MidUSA has placed multiple Omni-Series stations, the physical hardware used to send and receive communications, at their branch offices depending on need.

The machines enable face-to-face communication with the ability to share documents and screens, as well as capture and retain signatures, and can be used for internal staff meetings and member serving roles. Notably, MidUSA uses this technology with a financial investment representative to conduct business at multiple branch locations. By using a remote set up, the credit union benefits from reducing the need to staff multiple locations with these specialized employees, resulting in lower operating expenses.

CU*Answers and MidUSA Credit Union are excited to continue this partnership and continue to advance the Presence Over Video (POV) initiative. If you have questions or would like more information please contact Pete Winninger, pete.winninger@cuanswers.com.
