Additional NCUA Edits for CU*Answers’ 5300 Call Report Tool

Since 2009, core data processor CU*Answers has had a tool available to help credit unions on the CU*BASE® platform complete the 5300 Call Report required quarterly by the National Credit Union Administration. Data is automatically populated from the core system, worked by the credit union, and uploaded directly to the NCUA. Just prior to the upload, the tool runs checks and provides warning messages in the event of a possible error.

In the most recent software release more NCUA edits were added to the tool. Now, in addition to some of the most critical edits already included in the tool, there are edits from page 7 of the Call Report, “Delinquent Loans by Collateral Type” when the same category of delinquent loans has a quantity, but not an amount or visa-versa.
