CU*Answers, the 100% credit union-owned cooperative CUSO, announced that with the 14.3 software release of its CU*BASE^® core platform it has added the ability for credit unions to easily see where ACH debit transactions are taking place the most. This feature was added to the CUSO’s already immensely popular “Where Your Members Shop” dashboard, which aggregates transactions via ATM, debit, and credit card channels to show which merchants see the most credit union member traffic.

A CU*Answers representative added that the dashboard goes far beyond being simply an informational dashboard. The tool can also be used to communicate with members based on the merchant selected. Credit unions might notice a local business getting a fair amount of traffic, reach out to the merchant to get a discount for credit union members, and then market to the members known to have shopped there. In that way the tool can become an extremely effective weapon in CU*BASE’s growing marketing tool arsenal.
