CU*Answers, the 100% credit union-owned, data processing CUSO, hosted a grand opening on June 27 for a new membership drive with Western Districts Members Credit Union. Employees of CU*Answers now have the opportunity to apply for an account through the newly-launched Membership Opening Process (MOP), which takes individuals from the application process, to identity verification, account approval and funding, all the way to online banking set up. CU*Answers staff are eligible to receive a bonus deposit of $50 simply by opening a new membership with WDMCU.
“This initiative with Western Districts Members is about walking in the members’ shoes,” said CU*Answers CEO Randy Karnes. “We work closely with our credit union partners to design the products and services that appeal to both them and their members. To improve our products even further, we need to use them ourselves and truly see the fruits of our labor through the lens of a user, instead of just a designer.”
Additional MOP resources and frequently asked questions were placed on the CU*Answers Portal, as well as a link to the Membership Opening Process on WDMCU’s website. CU*Answers hopes this promotion will spur additional WDMCU memberships among their employees, and that it will also increase visibility for MOP for additional credit unions who may be interested in utilizing the service.
