Grand Rapids, Michigan-based CUSO Xtend, Inc., announced that interest is still very high in its new product offering, 2-way landline texting powered by Zipwhip. More than a dozen credit unions have launched this new service and are actively communicating with members via text. An upcoming web conference has nearly 40 more customer-owners registered to attend for a high-level demo and overview of the product.
Xtend CEO Liz Winninger stated: “We are getting feedback that members ask for texting even before credit unions have gone live with the product. As a conversational tool, 2-way texting is easy to implement and use. It is encouraging to see that both our credit union clients, and the members they serve, are eager about connecting in new ways.”
Xtend continues to develop the product with educational materials and marketing resources. They are also in the early phases of building a proof-of-concept where the Xtension Contact Center will handle text conversations with members on behalf of credit union member support teams.
