Cybersecurity Resources Added to cuanswers.com

CU*Answers, a cooperative CUSO located in West Michigan, announced that is has published a Cybersecurity Resources page on its website at cuanswers.com. The Cybersecurity Resources page is highlighted by a new video, “Cybersecurity Literacy for Credit Union Board Directors.”

Much like CU*Answers’ Financial Literacy series, which offers financial training to credit union boards, the Cybersecurity Literacy video discusses the core concepts of cybersecurity that every credit union board of directors should know. Both series were developed under the premise that a well-informed board of directors will be better able to assist management in the mission of building a healthy and secure credit union. As Dave Wordhouse, Vice President of Network Technologies at CU*Answers, noted: “Cybersecurity is a real risk that needs to be managed like any other. Cybersecurity is not a reason to not do business.”

In addition to the video, visitors to the page can review CU*Answers’ policies or use the available templates to create their own; review CU*Answers’ responses to the FFIEC Risk Assessment and download an assessment template; and review and download the FFIEC and NCUA’s cybersecurity resources. As with the Financial Literacy series, these resources are free to all credit unions and CUSOs, not just clients in the CU*Answers network.
