CU*Answers, a 100% credit union owned credit union service organization, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan proudly recognizes the Commun7y Crew. The group, made up of several employees from CU*Answers, Xtend and other groups within the cuasterisk.com network, rounded out their summer events with a blood drive. The event in conjunction with Michigan Blood, a part of Versiti, captured the attention—and blood—of 34 donors.

Participants reported the convenience of participating in an onsite blood drive is something every organization with concern for community should consider. Zach V. said, “I would absolutely recommend others donate and I myself will be donating again in the future.”

The Communi7y Crew was created by the cuasterisk.com network to promote the spirit of the 7 Cooperative Principles which are the foundation of all credit unions, taking the Live It! series from an educational campaign to a boots-on-the-ground effort to engage employees, their families, and friends in the active participation of charitable community events. The group seeks ideas through an open forum and organizes the events so that any and all can participate.
