CUSO Announces New Operational Services Brand

A new brand, OpsEngine, was formally introduced when CU*Answers, the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based cooperative CUSO, released its 2015 In-House Pricing Guide to its self-processing customer-owners recently. The suite of tools and services that will now carry the OpsEngine brand have been developed by the CUSO over the past several years, and are designed to help its in-house core data processing credit unions manage their data centers more effectively.

“Our support teams have been working pretty diligently over the past several years to help our self-processing credit unions deploy the same tools we use in our own data center,” said Jeff Miller, Business Development Manager for the CUSO’s Production Team. “Putting a brand around our menu of tools and services allows us to more effectively market our solutions to not only our existing clients, but other prospective clients, particularly those data centers that have deployed a similar server infrastructure.”

According to Miller, the current OpsEngine suite includes tools and services for automated operations, database encryption, high availability, intrusion detection and prevention, remote operations, auditing and log management, tape encryption, performance management and stand-in support. “Since these are the same tools we use to support nearly two hundred online credit unions each day,” he says, “we are able to bring effective, well-documented solutions to our self-processors for their shops.”
