CEO Randy Karnes Introduces New Blog Pushing Readers to “Tell Me Why I’m Wrong”

Randy Karnes, CEO of the 100% credit union-owned CUSO CU*Answers, has entered the blog world with his new site Tell Me Why I’m Wrong. In it Karnes shares his opinions on matters related to the credit union industry and encourages readers to respond with their own thoughts on the topic, or to tell Karnes why they disagree.

“Tell Me Why I’m Wrong isn’t a soap box; it’s a forum for debate,” said Karnes. “We have such great access to our peers, but we rarely see meaningful discussion, instead choosing to wall ourselves in to our own mode of thinking. This site is about inspiring others to enter into the conversation and to consider new ideas. I will share my experiences and thoughts and encourage the current and future generations of leaders to challenge them. It is through that discourse that we will generate ideas for tomorrow.”

The site has officially launched with Karnes asking credit unions whether they’d consider themselves an NCUA define “Leaper.” He continues by arguing that cooperative tactics inspire growth in small credit unions, but that often the industry points erroneously to business or service tactics as the sole means of leaping forward.

Readers can leave comments easily, and can even do so anonymously if they choose. Karnes concluded, “I’m looking forward to having the industry join the conversation and to Tell Me Why I’m Wrong.”
