Lender*VP, a division of core processing CUSO CU*Answers, has a dedicated Collections team that holds a quarterly roundtable for interested CU*Answers clients. The purpose of these open forums is to garner information and to discuss collections-related issues and regulatory changes.

The CUSO recently announced that for its February 2015 roundtable an individual from the United States Secret Service will be the keynote speaker to discuss current trends in identifying fraudulent cash and checks, identity fraud, current scams, and to provide general commentary.

“Through a partnership with a client Credit Union that has contact with the Secret Service we were able to make this come together,” said Jerry Collins, manager of the Lender*VP Collections team. “Bringing in outside experts is a way to enhance the experience and help take all of our skills and knowledge to the next level. It is historically the most highly attended roundtable when the Secret Service is involved. We often have standing room only for this event.” Collins added that CU*Answers will provide a follow-up webinar on February 26 for those unable to attend so that they can benefit from what was learned.
