Community West Credit Union recently signed agreements to offer its members DigitalMailer’s My Virtual StrongBox^® making it the first credit union in Michigan to offer the product. With My Virtual StrongBox members can upload important documents such as wills, trusts, medical records and identification etc. to their own “virtual strongbox” where they are securely stored and available for retrieval via the Internet. This provides members a great service to protect their important documents from physical peril, while at the same time providing accessibility and security all through a trusted source, their credit union.

Access for members will be conveniently provided through their current CU*Answers online banking product It’s Me 247 so no additional authentication is required. For the credit union this is a differentiator and is a “sticky” service that works to retain members through its value. The credit union is looking to have this product implemented fall of 2014.
