CU*Answers, the 100% credit union-owned CUSO, headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan recently announced the formation of the Communi7y Crew, a peer group created as a result of the CU*Answers Innovators Group. The group’s mission statement identifies the Communi7y Crew as a group formed by the cuasterisk.com network to promote the spirit of the 7 Cooperative Principals, which are the foundation of all credit unions.

Recently the group completed its first event, “Run Willard Run”, an annual 5k run held in Ravenna, Michigan by the “Run Willard Run” organization, partnered with Hope Lodge also of Grand Rapids. CU*Answers contributed to the 53 participants who raised $5,200 to support families affected by cancer. In addition to the run, CU*Answers employees gathered together to organize a company bake sale at the CU*Answers headquarters. Baked good donations were provided by employees of both Xtend Inc. and CU*Answers raising an additional $1,044 to donate to the “Run Willard Run” event.
