CU*Answers Upgrades Online Banking Platform

CU*Answers Network Services, a West Michigan-based technology solutions provider, today announced it has installed significantly upgraded servers to support CU*Answers’ flagship online banking product, It’s Me 247. The new servers expand processing capabilities and performance while enhancing high availability redundancy.

The upgrades were performed over the last several months and included installation of upgraded hardware at the company’s high-availability site to handle increasing loads, in addition to upgrades of the production networks. Coupled with other system upgrades, observed transaction response times were improved by better than 50%.

The upgrades were performed as part of CU*Answers’ long-term Strategic Technology plan and Capacity Innovation program which seek to forecast and anticipate demand changes for online applications and variations in member behavior and usage patterns. “We were seeing an increase in member utilization and our forecasts were showing a continued upward trend, powered largely by mobility. We want to stay ahead of that curve and build capacity before it becomes an issue,” says David Wordhouse, VP Network Technologies.
