CU*Answers Announces New Collections Monitoring Tools

West Michigan-based cooperative CUSO, CU*Answers, announced the addition of broken promise tracking to its CU*BASE® data processing collections tools. “This feature allows your credit union’s collection team to focus their time on follow-ups on broken promises, and not on accounts where members pay according to your agreements,” said Scott Page, EVP of CU*Answers.

CU*Answers added that when a collections agent notes a promise to pay, the agent can have CU*BASE monitor accounts for a range of dates, an amount to watch for, and if the member makes the payment. Then any follow-up tracking is marked completed by the system and notated. This provides a more focused effort on the part of collections teams as they are working towards broken promises rather than those members that have met their payment goals.

Page added that as the collections tools are built directly into the core platform, they come at no additional cost to credit unions on the system.
