CU*Answers, the 100% credit union-owned cooperative CUSO, today issued rebates of $3,000 each to four credit union clients for their participation in the beta-test of the CU*BASE 13.0 software release. Implemented on April 14th, the release included dozens of enhancements and new features, and was beta-tested by Best Advantage CU in Brillion, WI; Day Air CU in Kettering, OH; FOCUS CU in Wauwatosa, WI; and Rome CU in Royal Oak, MI. Each will receive a $3,000 credit on their next CU*Answers monthly invoice.
A beta-testers, credit unions agree to assign a point person as liaison, attend beta training sessions, log details about problems found, and keep in close contact with CU*Answers development and testing teams to provide regular feedback throughout the 4-week beta period. The CUs agreed to test or at least try every new feature in the release, even those that might require them to experiment with a new product or service they might not otherwise be exploring.
The rebate is part of the CollabRebate program, which rewards credit unions financially for participating with their peers. “Collaboration and cooperation are baked into the culture and infrastructure of CU*Answers, and CollabRebate is a tangible way we walk the talk,” says Randy Karnes, CEO. “For our clients the collaboration invested in the network is redistributed wealth to the entire cooperative, making us all stronger institutions.”
