CU*Answers Adds Six New 5300 Call Report Ratios

West Michigan based data processing CUSO, CU*Answers, announced an additional six call report ratios have been added to the Call Report Ratios Dashboard in the core processing platform, CU*BASE®. With the 12.2 CU*BASE release, CU*Answers added ratios for: cost of funds/average assets, net charge-offs/average loans, net long-term assets/total assets, SIRRT ratio, Texas ratio and total delinquent loans/net worth.

Previously CEOs and accounting managers were able to see historical data from the 5300 call report tool for delinquent loans to total loans, fee-other income/average assets, loans/assets, members/FTEs, net interest margin, net operating expense/average assets, net worth/total assets, operating expense/gross income, ROA, salary & benefits/FTEs.

The dashboard are a supplement to the system’s 5300 Call Report input tool that allows credit unions to automate call report fields, upload the report directly to the NCUA, and view trends over time. CU*Answers added that the hope is to help credit unions analyze the financial performance of their institution through more robust tools.
