CU*Answers, a 100% credit union-owned cooperative CUSO, announced that its annual CEO Strategies Week will be held during the week of November 5th in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The event is comprised of two separate two and a half day sessions allowing CEOs to choose the session which best fits their schedules. The cost for attending the CEO Strategies Week sessions is free of charge. This year’s agenda will include:
Day 1: Collaboration Workshop — This half day workshop allows CEOs to brainstorm about a hot topic of the day, such as profitability analysis or expanding your credit union’s opportunities. This year’s topic: “Starting a Business in the CU*Answers Network.”
Day 2: CEO School — A day of mentoring and coaching. Randy Karnes, CU*Answers CEO, will discuss how he would use CU*BASE® tools as a credit union CEO to interact with management and Board teams during presentations, as a cornerstone of tracking a business plan throughout the year, and how these tools can be used to identify opportunity.
Day 3: CEO “Roundtable” — The central focal point of the week’s events, the CEO Roundtable gives CEOs a unique chance to interact with their direct peers at other credit unions. This year CU*Answers welcomes an exciting new guest, Jack M. Antonini, President & CEO of NACUSO, whose unique background will lend an interesting perspective on this year’s theme: “Cooperative Investments: Driving a Community to be Opportunity Focused.” The group will also vote on presentations from four finalists who are vying for $30,000 in this year’s “Innovators Investment and Grant Program.”
Additionally, the CUSO noted that they would also be running “Management Dashboards Labs” during the evenings of Tuesday and Thursday. During these labs, CEOs will be invited to receive some practical, hands-on help working with their own CU*BASE member data. CEOs may spend 2 hours in the lab with experts from the CU*Answers leadership team to discover how to use dashboards as the analytical tool they may best utilize in helping move their business forward in 2013.
They concluded by stating that CEOs must register online by October 26, 2012, at http://cuanswers.com/education/special_events and as based upon the popularity for previous events, early registration is strongly encouraged.
