CU*Answers eDocument strategies team manager John Beauchamp recently visited Besser Credit Union in Alpena, Michigan to assist them with their eDocument strategy planning. As a result, the credit union learned of eDocument tactics that lead to operational efficiencies. They also learned how these efficiencies can subsequently improve member service, free up storage space (and the need to create more), and even attract new members as the credit union’s eStrategy grows. Ultimately they learned how a good eStrategy could potentially save the credit union thousands of dollars based on their current practices while accomplishing the above.
This eDocument strategy planning service is the latest available from the CU*Answers Management Services team. The service includes an onsite visit to meet with the credit union team. The eDocument strategies team conducts a “walk-around” to see firsthand the challenges and opportunities that exist in the area of electronic documents at the credit union. Based on observations and discussion with credit union leaders and process owners during the onsite visit, the eDocument strategies team creates a custom eDocument strategy for the credit union. The document includes specific recommendations and plans for implementation of the recommendations along with any associated costs and timelines.
After their recent eDocument strategy planning engagement Nancy Montie,CEOof Besser credit union commented, “I was really amazed at the document that came out of this and how thorough and complete it was. The end result is really a plan of action that is in great detail that can be presented to your board and spells everything out” She went on to say, “We will move forward with the plan and have added eDocument strategy to our strategic planning goals.”
