West Michigan-based CUSO, CU*Answers, announced that compliance challenges continue to be a key factor in its development of CU*BASE^®, the CUSO’s core processing solution. In addition to new features like direct access to Qualifile risk assessment tools via CU*BASE, which was added earlier this year, CU*Answers indicated that is working on a tool to transmit CTRs directly from CU*BASE to FinCEN.

A spokesperson for CU*Answers added that the ability to enter, track, and work CTRs directly in the software was added last year, but that they weren’t done developing there. The new feature that will allow direct network transmission will greatly improve the flow of the filing process. This coming feature is just one example of how CU*Answers and its Audit Link compliance team are making credit union compliance a more efficient process in CU*BASE so that credit unions can get back to business.
