CU*Answers recently announced that it has completed significant upgrades to its core networking infrastructure at its primary production facility. These included software upgrades to improve stability, security, and performance across the facility.
“Data centers require constant care and feeding to stay relevant and secure,” said Chris Shelton, VP of Network Infrastructure. “Our facilities provide state of the art cloud services to our clients, who demand stability, speed of access, and secure computing environments. Our teams take this seriously and remain committed to staying on top of important maintenance tasks and upgrades. These upgrades are not easy and can be invasive. We were able to leverage our high availability configurations to run our operations out of our South Dakota and Grand Rapids facilities while conducting these upgrades to minimize service impacts to our clients.”
CU*Answers uses a monthly upgrade calendar to ensure system maintenance is completed regularly and promptly. The upgrades performed this September are typically only completed approximately every ten years.
