Xtend announces new board chair Chuck Papenfus

Xtend, a multi-owned shared resources CUSO has appointed its new board chair, vice chair and secretary/treasurer. The CUSO holds three-year terms for the executive board positions.

Chuck Papenfus, CEO of Inland Valley Federal Credit Union (Fontana, CA), was appointed as the new board chair. Michael Abraham, CEO of First Financial Credit Union (Chicago, IL), was appointed vice chair and Jim Miles, CEO of MyUSA Credit Union (Middletown, OH) was appointed as the Treasury/Secretary.

“We have a debt of gratitude to our outgoing board chair, Carma Peters, for her dedication, leadership and support for Xtend, our team members, and the work they do each day,” said Liz Winninger, CEO and President of Xtend. “Carma has a beautiful leadership style; firm but fair, encouraging and supportive, and I believe every cell she is made of is to serve others. She truly encompasses the credit union difference. Our CUSO stakeholders have no doubt the Chuck will lead with the same passion and care for our owners and clients as Carma.”

Carma helped evolve the Xtend board’s approach in several areas that have been influential in helping the organization report record setting years during which she was board chair.
