Sixteen credit union professionals graduate at completion of CU*Answers’ 2018 What Makes Data Valuable Boot Camp

CU*Answers, the 100% credit union-owned, data processing CUSO, recently graduated sixteen participants from its 2018 What Makes Data Valuable Boot Camp. Over the past year, participants spent a total of eight days with CU*Answers executives and the Asterisk Intelligence team discussing data strategies within credit unions and guiding future data investments for the CUSO.  “Attending boot camp impacted not only my personal ambitions within the credit union, but I feel it will greatly benefit future operations and strategic planning moving forward,” said Christie Dompierre, marketing director at TBA Credit Union. “I drank the data Kool-Aid and now want to share it with anyone and everyone who has the thirst.”

First starting in 2016, the data boot camps have served to close the gap between credit union needs and the CUSO’s data initiatives, playing a crucial role in the development of new services such as Unique Data Management, Snapshot, and a new shared data warehousing space which is scheduled to be released later this year.

“The Data Boot Camp program has been a huge success for CU*Answers and our credit union partners alike,” said Keegan Daniel, vice president of Professional Services and manager of the Asterisk Intelligence team. “I am confident that the community of data driven professionals we’ve built will continue to guide our data strategies at CU*Answers, adding value to the industry and the members we serve for years to come.”

CU*Answers will move away from the boot camp series in 2019, instead focusing on driving engagement between its Asterisk Intelligence team and credit unions through upcoming educational opportunities and hands-on learning experiences.
