CU*NorthWest, a cooperative data processing CUSO, recognized Northern Colorado CU as the 2017 “Spirit of CU*NorthWest Award” winner. The credit union received the award for hitting the ground running with the adoption of CU*BASE® tools. At time of conversion they were able to implement a mobile app, remote deposit capture, an automated 5300 and several other staff efficiency pieces.

The Greeley, Colorado-based Northern Colorado CU has been a CU*NorthWest partner/client since October of 2016. They are $53.15 million in assets, with 3,577 members.

Introduced in 2011, the Spirit of CU*NorthWest Award is presented at the CUSO’s annual Leadership Conference. The award recognizes a client for excellence in exemplifying the following: CU*NorthWest’s Leadership Conference theme for the year; an especially strong and vital volunteer program; the principle of being all about the member; an innovative example of collaboration and cooperation (the highest collaborative score); has started a business in the network; shows strong execution and performance (especially in the face of adversity or despite overcoming a significant challenge); a newly converted CU that hit the ground running with adoption of CU*BASE tools (or an existing CU that has plunged into the tools in a new way); started a new initiative that really demonstrates the credit union spirit; moves the industry in a positive direction; or that is inspirational to other CUs.
