Cooperative CUSO and core data processor, CU*Answers, is preparing for the data processing conversion of its newest credit union partner, MEMBERS1st Community Credit Union located in Marshalltown, Iowa. The $145 million credit union has 7 branches and over 18,000 members. The conversion from Fiserv CUSA to the CU*Answers CU*BASE^® platform is scheduled for April 1, 2015.

CU*Answers Sales Representative Mike Gruber said, “We already have converted three other credit unions in the Iowa marketplace, but MEMBERS1st Community CU will be our biggest credit union partner yet. We see Iowa as a great marketplace for CU*Answers to expand in. The credit unions in Iowa really embrace the cooperative CUSO mentality of CU*Answers and they want the ability to partner not just with CU*Answers, but to partner with each other using the CU*BASE system.”

CU*Answers is a 100% credit union owned CUSO with a board made up of seven credit union CEOs. Added Gruber, more and more credit unions want a data processor that develops the products and features that the credit union owners deem important, and that encourages credit unions to participate in the software development.
