CU*NorthWest, a data-processing CUSO serving the Northwest announced today it has completed the division of Kenworth Employees Credit Union (KECU) from the collective formerly known as Seattle Credit Union Center.
KECU was processing under a special deployment of CU*BASE (CU*NorthWest’s core processing solution) allowing for a shared operations business strategy. Due to changes at the Seattle Credit Union Center, KECU decided to take back autonomous operations and therefore needed their information system divided from the former group.
The Seattle Credit Union Center (SCUC) was made up of 6 individual credit unions under a management contract to SCUC. CU*NorthWest however, contracted with each credit union individually so no change in contract was necessary.
The conversion to a standalone deployment of core processing (CU*BASE) was completed as of February 1, 2009.
