Following the conclusion of its October board meeting, cooperative CUSO CU*Answers announced that board member Linda Bodie had been selected to serve as the organization’s newest board chair, replacing Scott McFarland.

Bodie, who also serves as Chief Executive Officer + Innovator of Element Federal Credit Union (Charleston, WV), expressed her gratitude to the board for entrusting her with the position. “I’m excited for the opportunity to lead our CUSO board. I’m eager to work with CU*Answers leadership to continue the growth and success we have experienced for over fifty years. We have had some amazing board chairs, and I hope to continue that tradition.”

Honor Credit Union (St. Joseph, MI) CEO Scott McFarland added, “It has been a pleasure to serve the owners and clients of CU*Answers as the board chair for the last seven years. This cooperative has a strong and vibrant past, with an amazing future ahead. We are blessed to have the leadership of Linda Bodie on the board and now as the new chair leading us into the future.” McFarland will continue to serve on the board as a director.

Frankenmuth Credit Union (Frankenmuth, MI) CEO Vickie Schmitzer will continue to serve as vice chair. Kris Lewis, CEO of Allegan Community FCU (Allegan, MI) was selected to serve as the board’s new secretary/treasurer, replacing Bodie.
