eDOC embraces core cooperative principles through charity

As a cooperative organization based in Middlebury, Vermont, eDOC Innovations strives to give back to the local community. This is especially true during the holiday season when eDOC helps local charities with food and other donations to impact the community positively. This year, eDOC employees donated food and other necessary personal items for anyone in need of services at the Open Door Clinic. The last year has been challenging for many families, and eDOC wanted to help an organization focused on the health and wellness of the local community.

The Open Door Clinic serves uninsured and underinsured adults in Addison County and has been a growing organization for over 30 years, just like eDOC Innovations. They now have multiple locations, and with the help of a federal grant, have expanded their reach to twice as many people in need. They provide free healthcare services, help patients apply for health insurance, and referrals to specialists. The Open Door Clinic’s mission is to provide access to free, quality healthcare services to uninsured or underinsured in a compassionate, respectful, and culturally sensitive manner until a permanent healthcare provider can be established.
