CU*SOUTH, a credit union-owned service organization, will hold a six-day series of CU*BASE classes the first two weeks of June, 2012. Aimed primarily at first-time users, the extensive schedule affords credit unions with new staffers the opportunity to build their knowledge of CU*BASE while networking with fellow CU*SOUTH clients.
“We packed a lot of topics into these six days,” said CEO Leo Vaulin. “The design of the classes encourages break-out discussions and promotes collaborative thought.”
The agenda starts with the basics of CU*BASE, and progresses to expanded training in lending, collections, auditing and the extensive integrated management and “Know Your Members” marketing tools.
“We’re particularly proud of our newest client, Old Ocean FCU of Old Ocean, Texas, and their emphasis on training,” said Vaulin. “CEO Terry Settle exemplifies our CUSO message of partnering to create the best possible environment for success, and Old Ocean’s well-considered participation in our June training event is a great investment not only in a smooth conversion, but in the future growth of the credit union.”
CU*SOUTH’s training for new clients, and ongoing training for CU*BASE users, is always offered without cost to the CUSO’s clients.
