CUSO Launches Shared Branching App

On June 18th, Xtend, Inc., the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based multi-owned cooperative CUSO, announced the release of a free shared branching mobile application for smart phones.  Members of the ninety-two (92) credit unions participating in the Xtend shared branching network can use this new application to find the location of the nearest branch on their mobile device along with driving directions if needed.  The application was developed free of charge to the credit unions.

The new app was highlighted by CUSO President Scott Collins in his address to owners during Xtend’s Annual Stockholders’ Meeting.  Collins noted, “Your shared branching consortium is one of the most successful peer-managed networks in the industry, and adding this new mobile app will help you serve members even more effectively moving forward.  Our CUSO is proud to put the Xtend brand on your network, so offering a new tool at no charge to any of the participating credit unions is our way of investing in our collective futures.  And we look forward to working with our partners at CU Mobile Apps to deliver follow-on releases of the app.”
